WORKSHOP – DISMANTLING RACISM
LUF welcomes Rev. Julie Stoneberg on our anniversary weekend, facilitating a workshop on Saturday, June 1 st from 9:30 am 12:30 pm .
At the CUC Annual General Meeting on May 11, a resolution was passed to form a “Dismantling Racism Study Group ”. Rev. Julie will be one of the co chairs of that group, along with Beverly Horton from the Hamilton congregation. On Saturday morning, we’ll hear a bit about what has led to this resolution, engage in some structured conversation in order to listen to our individual and collective hearts, and even begin to put our toes into the waters of this work. Come with open minds and hearts.
Our Sunday service June 2 at 10:30 will be “Where We’ve Come From & Where We’re Going” presented by Rev. Julie Stoneberg, with service leader Jean Armstrong.
