Endings, Beginning, Cycles & Sparks

Date: January 19, 2025

Leader: Margaret Wanlin
Speaker: Rev. Debra Faulk

As we begin a new year, we take a Janus* view as we look back and forward, in the present moment, collectively and individually. Let us welcome the New Year holding in our hearts the monthly theme of being Actively Engaged**.

* Janus – As the god of transitions and dualities, Janus is portrayed with two faces—one facing the past, and one facing the future.

** The monthly theme is engaged in some fashion by about 1/3 of Canadian Unitarian* Universalist (U*U) congregations through The Roots of Resilience project. The project is a collaboration of 4 Community Ministers inspired and directed by Rev Karen Fraser Gitlitz.

The project’s monthly themes include the Canadian Unitarian Council Statements of Aspiration

Actively Engaged: We strive to work joyfully for a just and compassionate society, experimenting with new forms of community.

Attend the service in-person 10:30 am at Unitarian Place, 1502 Mountdale at Frederica, or join on Zoom.
