Summer Services
Date: August 21, 2022
Upcoming Sunday Services: 10:30 am
Aug 21 Labyrinth Walk
Location: Lakehead University
Service Leader: Michelle Landry
Weather permitting, there will be a brief service at the outdoor Labyrinth Walk across from the Bora Laskin Building (Faculty of Education) led by Michelle Landry at 10:30 am. There will be large rocks to sit on for the Service however some of us may prefer chairs. Please bring one just in case. This Labyrinth is new. It is a seven-circuit Labyrinth, much smaller than the one at St. Paul’s Anglican. David Greenwood, a prof at the Fac of Ed and Gavin Shields, a Masters student have both been intimately involved over the last 7 years in birthing this beautiful sacred space which is open to all. I am hoping they will be able to join us.
Directions: Turn onto Lakehead University Dr. N (where the BIG blue LU sign is, on Oliver Rd.), then left on Bora Laskin Lane. If you don’t mind a short walk, there will be a gravel parking lot on your left. A little further along the road and by the bike path you will find the Labyrinth. I think parking along the road on a Sunday will not be an issue…
Note, for outdoor services:
- Dress for the weather
- Bring a lawn chair (or blanket)
- Bring your own water bottle
- You may wish to bring sunscreen and/or bug spray
