Shelter House Saturdays

On the fourth ( 4th) Saturday of every month, Lakehead Unitarian  Fellowship prepares and serves the midday meal (1.30 p.m.) at Thunder Bay’s homeless shelter: “Shelter House”. Twelve (12 )volunteers are needed. Six (6 )for the preparation shift. ( 10.00 A.M.- 12.30 P.M. ) Six (6) for the serving and clean up crew. ( 12.30- 2.30 P.M.) Number of dinner guests may vary between 80-200. Meal preparation for a large number can be daunting, but the Shelter House staff is most helpful and guides us along.  Anyone interested in being part of this most meaningful activity can sign up on the sheet available at the Sunday Service, or by calling LUF’s telephone number 807 344-5980
